The air has started heating up, still there are some treks which are beautiful and irresistible even for this season. Bhorgiri - Bhimashankar Jungle trek can be counted in that. And with TrekDi's planning it is little more adventurous than you can experience with anyone else. We will be starting a walk from Bhorigi in the evening and will be ending up in the Bhimahsankar forest area in the dark. So you can expereince the eeerie silence in the dark forest. Introduction of the trek:

Bhorgiri is a small fort located below the plateau of bhimashankar.The trek route is through dense jungle and provides many opportunities for nature lovers and particularly Photographers !! One can see the state animal of Maharashtra which Giant Squirrel, in local language recognized as Shekru . Bhimashankar is also home to the barking deers, wild boars and many other small herbovores. It is also host to small carnivores like jackal. This trek is very beautiful throughout the year and in all seasons. The bhorgiri Fort is worth visiting as it has 17 water tanks at the top. The origin of the Bhima river is on the way of this trek route.

Food arrangement: Lunch for day 1 to be carried by participants. Dinner on day 1, Lunch & breakfast on day 2 will be provided by Trek’Di in bhimashankar

Accomodation in bhimashankar: We will be sleeping in a temple in bhimashankar Village.

Pune- Rajgurunagar by ST
Rajguru Nagar to bhorgiri by ST
Start Trek from Bhorgiri Village by 4.30pm
Trek to Bhimashankar
Dinner at Bhimashankar
Halt at Bhimashankar
Day 2
Morning Trail in bhimashankar
After lunch start return journey to Pune
Return to Pune by 6pm

What to Bring: 

  • A good trekking sack
  • Water bottle (at least 1.5 ltr)
  • Electral/Glucon-d energizers and personal medication 
  • A cap
  • Good trekking shoes (sandals, chappals are not permitted)
  • Plate, bowl, mug, spoon (compulsory) 
  • Sleeping Gear(sleeping bag/ carry mat)
  • Lunch for day 1
  • Some Snacks to eat during bus journey
